Given that Y = (X + 1)² , find dy/dx

 Given that y = (x + 1)² find dy/dx

Solution

Expanding our question:

Y = (x + 1)² = y (x + 1)(x + 2)

Multiplying our expanded question we have:

X² + 2x + 1

Now differentiating: X² + 2x + 1

dy/dx = 2x + 2
